The niece gave this 4 stars and the nephew gave this 5 stars. He loves Christmas and Halloween (he’s going to be Ron Weasley this year - so cute). The nephew loved the old tree and how monstery it looked. The tree does find it’s way in this world and that it has a place too. Eventually, the stand is taken down and a neighborhood is put up and they leave this old spooky looking tree. It is so grumpy that it makes it’s needles fall off so people won’t want it. We start out in Christmas at a Christmas tree stand and one tree growing there doesn’t want lights or to be a Christmas tree. She and the nephew laughed at the faces and how grumpy the tree was. The niece looked at the back cover of the baby trees with eyes and they were so cute she wanted to read this with us. Actually, I hope this book is made into a show on Netflix or Amazon. This is a great addition to Halloween books and I really hope this story catches on. Wow! Susan has cooked up a fantastic story about this knarled up old grumpy tree. This is the Story of the Halloween season.
